(Note: I do NOT intend nor want to start listing individual radio IDs here, this is only a list of how the IDs are allocated! However, if anyone wants to collaborate privately with specific RIDs you can PM me for details?)ivahri wrote:This numbering convention is intended to permit radios to be used nationally by ensuring there are no duplicated radio IDs within Australia. The first digit will be the state identifier (same as for broadcast), with the second digit identifying the type of service (ie. fire, ambulance etc), the third being the agency (though some will use more than one of these). Cheers, Richard
(I should also note that the numbering convention below assumes that all RIDs are seven (7) digits regardless of how many preceeding zeros they may have. For example, the Victorian MMR RID "79997" should be considered as "0079997" ie The first digit of this RID is zero not seven.)
First digit (State code):
0 = none (possibly to allow the Victorian MMR time to bring their RIDs into line)
1 = Australian Capital Territory
2 = New South Wales
3 = Victoria
4 = Queensland
5 = South Australia
6 = Western Australia
7 = Tasmania
8 = Northern Territory
9 = Federal Government
Second digit (Service code):
0 = Emergency Services
1 = Law Enforcement Services
2 = Public Utility Services
3 = Medical & Transport Services
4 = Marine & Environmental Services
5 = Unknown
6 = Non Government Organisations
7 = Unknown
8 = Unknown
9 = GRN Services
