Thanks, I've removed my supposition from the entry, so much for that theory!

In Topic 'P25 talk groups' cartman wrote:Following a detailed analysis of Pro96.com data for 2 days off Beecroft i can confirm there is another two talkgroups 10604 and 10607 as being Integral Energy, so it would be reasonable to assume the allocation starts at 10601. I think those radio techs on 10645 are the remote supervisory control systems (SCADA) folk and have a second channel on 10646. Integral Energy Radio Ids begin with 223XXXX

Thanks Grant,

I've updated the RIDs list!

Having not heard any ACTRFS traffic whatsoever (and they used to be one of the busiest agencies on the fringe sites), I have a bad feeling that they may now be encrypted along with the ACTAS and ACTFB? I don't know why they would need encryption nor why they would be enc when the ACTSES aren't? Time will tell...

Also, I've made a few updates to the list, it's still too early to be sure of some of the allocations (I'm not sure if "Welfare Services" shouldn't actually be "Law Enforcement" for example) but I expect things will be in a constant state of flux anyway until the Phase III agencies move across next year and we get a better picture of who's who?

Phew... good to hear Matt!

I don't suppose you know him or her well enough for them to get you a list of their channels/talkgroups? ;)

BTW, I'm not sure if the situation's changed since they were on the old 4.1 system but there was actually a common codeplug that was put into a lot of ACT radios, I quite often saw Parks radios on AS, FB, RFS & SES talkgroups (and vice versa), I'm guessing they got bored driving around in the bush and were listening in on the action elsewhere?

Also interesting is that there were "Rural Police" on the Parks TGs fairly often and in the clear too!

Andrew

P.S. If anyone was wondering why ACT Parks RIDs are in the "Emergency Services" group, I'm guessing it's because they run their own fire appliances?

Hi Andrew,
the Parks RID's are in that group because, from my assumption, some ACT Parks people do firefighting. ive heard some callsigns on both RFS and Parks Mgmt TG's like parks 2 parks 6 parks 784(which become parks 23, a cat 9) and seen them change on unitrunker. same radio id 2 different callsigns/2 different TG's.
cheers

rids 2040002 and 2040422 hooked into this group... which fits with the theory its an SES TG

Integral Energy RID of 2230120 logged into Mt Penang and then patched two talkgroups together(10607 and 10601)...

Also just noticed another RID pop up affiliating to a talkgroup of "0", the radio id is 2011619. I am assuming that when a radio affiliates on the p25 grn it has to affiliate to a talkgroup

Noticed on the Integral Energy RIDS that the last three digits correspond to their unit number in the field eg 2230200 = unit 200
Despatch boards appear to have a 2239XXX number

That usually happens with an unactivated RID (such as a lot of RFS radios), the radio will log into the site but the system won't allow it to join any talkgroups. I think you can still make private calls (radio to radio) though but I might be wrong, somebody will correct me if you can't, I haven't tried?

That RID is a NSWFB radio, it may be that the system is rejecting requests from agencies that aren't yet supposed to be on P25 yet too?

One fault I've found with this is that there isn't any indication on the user radio, the display appears as if you've successfully joined... until you try to transmit that is... BOOP! :x
