this morning I have been listening to VRW broadcasting on its GRN channels that there will be no radio contact from 5am to 530am today because of upgrades being done

It is pretty dead at that time anyway - shift changeovers etc

I have heard them at Central on 418.100 between 12pm & 1pm doing radio tests.
