Hi Guys

Pardon my ignorance with this (P25 trunking is a fairly new concept in the big scheme of things), but what's the idea behind the "peers/neighbours" allocated to each site in the list?

Cheers

So is it a means of load balancing and prevention of lockouts on the system, by shunting users to another site in the peer list if the main site is at capacity?

G'day Frank,

It's been explained in more detail elsewhere on this forum but basically each site broadcasts a list of it's neighbours so the user radio can save time searching for a new site once it starts to lose the signal from the first.

I haven't heard of a site forcing a radio to move because of capacity, usually you just get a busy tone and have to wait for a channel grant on the site you're affiliated with?
