It is also possible/likely that the NSW Police will take over the role of the Transit Security.... though it has gone quiet on that front lately.

Shame, they are a great radio, but deaf as. If your thinking of getting a 396, don't. Get a 996 mobile instead. Its amazing the amount of 396 scanners I come across with their owners complaining about not being able to pick up what they want.

yeah if you had have brought a GRE namely a 500 you wouldnt have that problem

cartman, been listening to that SRA Transit grn channel of late, its always on razorback cc. they seem to be working together all the time both police/transits. i find it funny how when someone doesnt produce ID they have to call a police officer to come do it. Whats the point of transits then? I'd be more worried about having a police officer standing at a ticket gate, or on a train then a transit, you know you can run straight past them and not much will come of it, if you did it to a nsw police officer, well you know the outcome.

Thats what happens when you get rent-a-cops to ackle high crime areas. Crims don't respect nor care about those who are not the real deal.

cartman: yeah true, most of the time i hear Central Station work and alot of Blacktown line work as well, vary rarely do i hear anything for Campbelltown.

well in regards to pepole not showing the transits respect soupbones id like to see how you know this ??
if you are only listening to scanner i sugest you get off your chair and look out side me and and the rest of the security industry and the transits have to put up with this crap day in day out and at the risk of incrimanating myself if some one spits in my face there getting a punch in the mouth now we dont get as mutch respect as we should we are the ones that stop them from stealing your beloved scanner and stuff that you care about so why dont you take a step back and dont comment on anything you dont know about
