GRN P25 Pt2

Post by citabria » Fri Apr 23, 2010 2:13 pm

So, to get the ball rolling again...

Does anyone know if any agencies have migrated yet? Apart from the odd tech, and the 10055 RFS talkgroup I hear very little activity on this network.

Cheers
Matt

Hey Richard,

I know I'm jumping the gun here but have you heard any time frame mentioned as to when the old Type II system is expected to be decommissioned?

Andrew,

The original date was 1st April 2011 but given they are some months behind schedule my guess is some time towards the end of 2011. I emphasise my guess...

Cheers,

Richard

Jaskel,

I just cut and pasted the current CC's as below into a new P25 System in my Scanner, have had no issues, works well when I do hear someone on the new P25 Network.

Just remember thou, a lot of people think this new P25 Trunk System is the same as the current system, only Digital, which is incorrent, it's a totally different System then the current Motorola Type 2 UHF System that the GRN is currently, you will need to program a Motorola P25 UHF System into your Scanner to pick this new P25 System up.
