NPWS TG's ?
NPWS TG's ?
Not 100% positive that it was, but heard what sounded like the NPWS on the GRN on Saturday afternoon calling back to base, did not get the TG thou – was driving at the time.
Callsigns were “Parks 22” etc calling “Parks Base”, about 6 units calling back at their various bases and off air.

Re: NPWS TG's ?
i've had parks guys using rfs grn up in the most recent section 44 in Gosford District, they just hijacked and rfs portable to pass a message back to us so we can get it to their hi-erachy
Re: NPWS TG's ?
Yeah, I noted Park Air callsigns quite a number of times in recent weeks on the RFS Aviation TGs
But Park Air is heard more on NPWS & Air bands

Re: NPWS TG's ?
Could be RFS TGs too... I often hear RFS on NPWS PMR. Callsigns like "Fire comm" and "Oberon 1" give it away.
I've still not heard jack on P25 GRN

Re: NPWS TG's ?
Why would you? There still aren't any links... not much use having 50 odd P25 sites all operating as stand alone bases- unless you like talking to yourself! It will happen- just need a little patience... I write that 50 times on the whiteboard each morning.
Cheers,
Richard

Re: NPWS TG's ?
Richard,
some people might like talking to themselves
i would have thought the grn guys would at least have 2 or 3 sites setup in wide area mode for testing purposes...

Re: NPWS TG's ?
hi all just heard an exchange on mt gray on the old grn on tg 51216. callsigns mentioned were marcarthur base and 1753. rradio i'd were 743579 and 751252 with 743582 affiliating and now de affiliating with mt gray.
was wondering who owns this TG sounded either NPWS or SF.
cheers all

Re: NPWS TG's ?
Matt,
I do have (old GRN) TGID 51216 listed as NPWS, been a bit of chatter recently on the Mt Clear/Mt Budawang simulcast site (Zone 3 Site 14) with RIDs 743580, 743581, 743582, 743584 & 743586
The 751252 RID you mentioned seems to be in an RFS group of RIDs, surrounded by aviation callsigns which would tie in with the "Macarthur Base" callsign?
Andrew

Was the exchange on 51216 in Digital or analog?
