Suddenly dead NSW GRN

Post by Richad » Fri Nov 04, 2022 6:31 pm

Hi all,

I’ve been receiving a huge range of services from the GRN up until an hour ago.

It’s gone dead. Now I’ve made zero changes to configuration, antenna and still get full reception on my 536pt.

Anyone would have any idea what’s happening? Is it only me? I hope…

Thanks. It’s driving me nuts. I’m streaming to YouTube and other sites but stopped it all until I can figure out what the hell is going on.

Na my 386 is working fine.

But as this is your first post, and you only joined the forum today . . . you are aware the GRN has been undergoing a major update in the past 2 years and your local Control Channel may have changed?

Hi,
Thanks so much for your reply.

Yes sorry I should have given more information. I wish I had time tonight experimenting with different control channels. I am getting a handful of TGIDs from Ambulance NSW and RFS. But the change was baffling. Literally today at around 4pm it went from busy to dead. That is why I got frustrated. My scanner obviously isn’t defective as it’s still receiving. Also since I seem to be the only one with the problem, I bet you are right. I’ll test control channels from around my area tomorrow after work.

Thanks so much again for the kind reply

Richad
