More new talkgroups

Post by Scotty » Mon Feb 20, 2012 6:04 pm

Some more new talkgroups which I have noticed recently:

21958 - used by RIDs 1246110x (which are new themselves)
23030 - unknown RID
25700 - unknown RID
53056 - unknown RID
58980 - unknown RID

All were online this afternoon around the same time, and all switched off about the same time. No idea who the users are.

I'm also noticing more and more RID's appearing which are outside of the previously discussed 'convention' of 7 digits.

Yeah I get those bogus hits on a regular basis with Unitrunker, usually when the decode health drops off?

All off GPT, and all with 5 or 6 hits each (except 58980 with 1 hit). Between 1630ish and 1800ish. Anybody else logging at the time who can confirm?

Thought it may have been a glitch in Unitrunker, but having said that it hasn't happened to me before this point, and 5/6 hits seems too many to be a stuff up. They did all appear and disappear around the same times though.

A number of replies i got offline to a previous post I made about a user with a 6 digit RID confirmed to me there are users which are not in line with then normal 7 digit RID, but I don't know about the RID above or the TG's.

I have been logging Chullora for the last two days and haven't seen anything that gives substance to these talkgroups
I am inclined to agree to Bigfella that it is garbage due to "signal health issue".
Same issue with weird site id's and frequencies
Just a matter of editing out the strange stuff
Unitrunker will log Moto 2 trunking at 99% whereas P25 trunking from the same location is all over the shop eg GPT Sydney

Thinking you guys are likely right about the talkgroups being errors. Only thing is the number of hits was also seems unusually high for an error.

Been running UniTrunker almost constantly for the better part of 18-24 months over many Sydney and surrounding sites of all different signal strengths and these are the first 'dud' talkgroups that have appeared during that entire time.
