Great help there guys.

OK, firstly where are you? GRN is a Motorola type two system and the base and offsets are available on this site if you go to http://www.scansydney.com/information/

How you set these depends on what scanner you are using, so maybe some more info on your location and equipemtn might be in order if you need help.

The NSW GRN is a bit of a complicated system, but once you get your head around it, like EDACS, you will understand it. It is still a trunk system so the concept is the same no matter what system.

Ok, so try the base and offsets provided on this site on the link I have given you above. Make sure you have a good signal for the control channels.
See how that goes. Using the ARC software you should be OK.
Let us know how that goes.

Only other thing you may find with the GRN where you are is that it won't be greatly active. I have been out western NSW a number of times and some of the GRN sites sit there for hours dead as door nails because there is only a small number of users out that way. NSWFB and ambulance use PMR a lot out that way, as do the RFS. NSWFB are slowly getting onto the GRN more and more out west so they may pop up out there more.
