Hi Guys

Listening to some chatter on GPT 70cm channel and it appears that we have no registration link available to new users. I have logged out and looked for the registration link and can't see it anywhere. Maybe its gone somewhere during an upgrade or change..?

I concur, I just tried switching back to the old board theme (V1) to see if it was there previously but as soon as I logged out again it sent me back to V2 so unable to see the old registration link?

You're right, it did drop off after the 3.0.10 upgrade! It has been re-enabled requiring administrative approval given the large amount of spam bots joining at the moment. Currently working on a new Captcha system to hopefully avoid bots mass registering. Thanks for letting me know. Cheers.

Somebody was asking me how to join but the register link is not there

Hi all, yeah I've had a mate been wanting to join and I asked him to email the admin with no luck. Can we get this sorted soon?

Hi guys, thanks for reporting this. The link has been disabled until the database transfer to the new hosting account is complete to avoid having issues with differing databases. The other problem we often face is the mass amount of spam sign ups which apply and need to be filtered out by an administrator, but this is a problem we'll look at later. Thanks.

User registration has now been re-enabled. A valid email address is required, as scanSydney mentioned above, the amount of spam bots signing up causes major issues if left unattended for a period of time.

'reCaptcha' is now enabled for new users signing up, you will most likely have seen this on various forums, fairly simple, but a recommended measure to prevent these automated spam bots, user must enter the correct words (two separate words) displayed on the screen before being able to proceed.
