I think JAFO's entry is on the wrong thread but anyway .... i can hear Bateau Bay from Blacktown - Site 133 - on 417.9375. Mike Alpha has confirmed the same. He heard Bateu Bay from the Royal National Park

I've been able to pickup Mt Elliott on the new P25 system but thats about it... not sure why they chose that site to move over first rather than mt penang...

Those coastal radio sites have some interesting propagation at times. Seems that VHF/UHF over water travels a bloody long way!

Ok, I'm a little confused, I had Mt Tomah down as Site 133?

This was from a post by Mike Alpha on Wed Nov 18, 2009 5:52 pm in the "GRN P25 testing has started" topic.

P25 control channel has to be 10K1F9W
Mt Tomah is not 10K1F9W on that frequency - only 417.4375
Bateau Bay is 10K1F9W on 417.9375

Unless the wrong information is in the ACMA
Site 132 appears to be Kurrajong Heights .... Tomah would seem the logical next number
If you hear a strong signal on the central coast ie Kariong then Bat Bay gets the nod
If it is weaker then Mt Tomah maybe indeed be 133

I think the GCIO is indeed falling behind when it comes to updating the frequency licences?

For example, looking at the Beecroft site (ACMA Site ID 4494), the control channel (LCN 04-0586) which is currently transmitting on the P25 system still has an analogue only emission designator of "10K1F3E".

Also, the old composite frequencies (digital & analogue) are licenced with a "10K1F9W" designator but shouldn't the new P25 channels have something like "6K25F1D"?

Same problem with NXDN and TETRA
For instance the NXDN transmission from Kenwood Australia at Nth Ryde on 474.275Mhz is shown as 10K1F7D - however many other NXDN transmissions are shown as 10K1F3E or even 16K0F3E
Tetra has the same issue - some licenses are showing 25K0D7W and others .. 10K1F3E or 16K0F3E

In the US TRBO is shown as 7K60FXE for voice and 7K60FXD for data

In the US NXDN has a variety of designators
8K30F1E - 12.5 kHz single channel digital voice,
8K30F1D - 12.5 kHz single channel digital data,
8K30F1W - 12.5 kHz single channel digital voice and data
4K00F1E - 6.25 kHz single channel digital voice
4K00F1D - 6.25 kHz single channel digital data,
4K00F1W - 6.25 kHz single channel, digital voice and data,
4K00F2D - 6.25 kHz single channel analog CW ID.

Grant, Sorry man, thought everyone was commenting on what they have been doing even thou the forum has been quiet, so I was just generally commenting on what I had been doing and as the GRN is the main area I scan, just adding my two cents worth  .

Ok, I was driving at the time and had the wife in the car, so stopping and playing with the Scanner was not an option LOL. But between the P25 CC Only & P25 GPS Systems in my scanner I am positive the following sites came up (If the sites are correct):
112 Mt ELLIOT
135 KULNURA
221 BATEAU BAY

I just ran across the first of the new P25 GRN emission designators...

All the freqs for Site 333 (Mumbulla Mountain) on ACMA site #9162 are now shown as 10K1F2D

I believe all the P25 freqs will (or should) eventually be updated to this?
