New to the world of Digital Scanning....

Post by Radioham6 » Thu Aug 17, 2023 2:33 pm

I have a UBCD536-PT scanner and love it and looking for some assistance.
I see I need to update the 536 as a add on by Uniden to unlock the scanner to listen to DMR.

All that is fairly straight forward. I’m a older Ham radio guy been scanning for some 45+ years and now entering the digital world.

I’m a Bus driver wanting to listen to work, as I work for the second largest bus company in the World, CDC based in Singapore.

I am located here in Victoria, and CDC (Comfort Del Gro) are operating as CDC Victoria throughout Melb and the state.

They are using the Motorola Trbo Orion DMR network, though unsure if they are using the latest tier 3 system.

CDC Operate throughout Sydney , Mid North Coast & Darwin.

I haven’t yet gone down the path of Sentinal software and was looking for suggestions, informative links etc to get me up to speed so to speak.
Any information is appreciated.

Regards Max.
