Visionstream car antennas

Post by freqwaves » Sun Jul 14, 2019 6:58 pm

Had a Visionstream tech working on the Telstra comms hut behind my work. Asked him what the 3x antennas he had on the front of his ute.
1x was 3g cellular, 1x was 4g cellular high gain antenna & the 3rd antenna was 477mhz UHFCB.
Said it is a requirement when going on mining sites that you have UHFCB.

Yeah that's pretty much the standard on many construction sites too, along with a "quacker" (reverse beeper only 1000 times more annoying) and amber beacon(s). I think some sites still require a rotating type beacon as well.
