DAB Folded dipole

Post by freqwaves » Thu Jun 27, 2013 2:14 pm

Wagner Electronics has come out with a new DAB Aerial in a folded dipole design.Pictures & specs I can email to you in a PDF.
Wondering if it would be ok for reception around VHF hi (150-174)
Price:$52.50
Product code: ANT-DAB1
DIGITEK DAB+ Folded Dipole Digital Radio Antenna
For maximum DAB+ radio signal and to reduce the interference of other
frequencies, then go for the DAB+ folded dipole.
This antenna gives more DAB+ response for its size, than many of
the Band 3 VHF antennas due to its design; it has been specifically
manufactured to perform best at the frequency range for the
Australian DAB+ radio signals. The vast majority of sites in Australia (which are within a DAB+
transmission area) will get a perfectly acceptable DAB+ signal from this
antenna.
Tight frequency response across the DAB+ channels.

Looks like this antenna, the text is exactly the same.

DAB+ is 174 MHz to 228 MHz and thus rx would be centred at around 201 MHz, and the antenna is probably centred at 201 MHz as well.

Not sure it will work well down to 150 MHz but there you go, someone should buy one and tell us how well it works.

The one from Prestige is nearly double the price.
WES have always been cheaper on certain things.
