Marine Repeater CH 81

Hi all
I have noticed over the last month or so that I can now hear some comms from Mallacoota VMR and now I have just heard a callsign Gabo Island.
I assume this is coming from Mount Imlay south of Eden as its on channel 81 which is a repeater channel.
Can someone confirm that there has been changes down in Victoria and they are using NSW channels or something?
Just wanting some clarification on why I am suddenly hearing more things on 81.
