Since when has there been a UHFCB CH8 repeater at Razorback?
I was scanning the UHFCB band the other day on my scanner & did detect a 67.0 subtone on this frequency but did not dawn on me that it was a repeater output channel.
Isn't there still a UHFCB Repeater at Appin (Ch 3?)

John.

VK2FEAR might know, he ran the VM the VMG3 repeater at Appin. The only reason i posted it was because i heard the tone and the broadcast of what it was, said, VMG8 Repeater location Razorback or similar, few names Lenny and others were talking about usual CB rubbish. Ill keep and ear on it if you want, not far from Razorback.

Still able to key up ch 8 without a tone, so it appears to only be on the output.

It appears from the ACMA that the repeater is at Kariong.

Had a quick listen on the way home, was gettin coverage from about Campbelltown to Bargo. Normal crap being spoken, although they did mention about a dodgy Channel 1 repeater thats on at the moment, and where its located is hard for people to key up on. im no CB expert so someone might be able to have a look.

Going by the ACMA there's a Ch8 repeater at Mt Murray near Wollongong & one at Kariong.I would say your hearing the Mt Murray one.

PL (or anything but CSQ) on the input is against the conditions of the license, so you'd sure hope the repeater isn't using it.
