Looking for Serial Data or IP Controlled Receiver?

I'm sure that there must be something out there ......
Looking for a remote controlled reciever / scanner with real serial data connection (RS-232) or IP ethernet connection.
This would be more an "industrial" model rather than hobbyist gear ....
Any ideas?
