UBC780XLT CTCSS Programing

I am using the Butel software to program my 780xlt with conventional channels & Ctcss.Once uploaded to the scanner & a scan is executed when the scanner stops on a active frequency it goes into searching for a subtone.I expect it to only stop if the program subtone matches the active frequency.
Reading the manual it talks about Squelch modes & pressing the "E" key when scanning to capture the subtone with the frequency it's locked on.
Have I missed a setting to turn on in the Butel software?

Refer to page 12 of the user manual. You need to set squelch mode to Tone SQ.
