Errgghhh... it's still limited to only 20 groups and 500 talkgroups per system... this is really really annoying! :x

It means we have to create three identical but separate systems to get all the talkgroups tagged for the NSWGRN, so if you're ID SEARCHING you'll miss out on the tag being displayed for the talkgroup two-thirds of the time, or if you're ID SCANNING you won't even hear the conversation until the scanner gets around to checking the system which contains the talkgroup (which most of the time means you will miss out on at least the first few seconds of audio).

I really don't see why, in an age of dynamic memory assignment, we have to put up with such a prohibitive restriction? The U.S. versions are the same, I was just hoping that Uniden Australia might have woken up and fixed this in the Aussie firmware?

There is now a PDF copy of the UBCD396XT Owners Manual on the Uniden Australia website.

Haven't had a careful read yet, but noticed a 'typo' on page 185, and that they haven't changed the default Step for the 2 Metre Amateur Band.

Why would someone design a scanner thats limited to 500 talkgroups per system, when a P25 system can have 65535 talkgroups....?
