Of those folk running PRO96.com, has anybody successfully got the programme to save the site talkgroups, radio ids and other data
While i can run it on a site using my PRO96 via the data cable and see all sorts of stuff, for some reason I have a problem in getting any data saved - namely a) the system folder fails to appear and b) consequently none of the various files contained within
I have ticked every blooming save button there is and read the pdf manual and still none the wiser
It is a very good programme but it seems that individual user settings may affect it
Three or four folk who I know have it running are having similar issues

Yes, works perfectly for me...

only problem i had was when i moved it over to my laptop, windows 7 thought that the entire folder had to be read only which cause no end of problems..

I removed the read only attribute from the folder.. HAPPY DAYS!!

I moved it over to the program files .... appear to have it working properly ... but now i can't see it and it doesn't appear on a search
When i try to download another copy it appears again with a locked symbol
I have attempted to change the read-only permissions but as normal for one who is IT challenged I just go around in circles
I understand the user access permission in Windows 7 is the cause of the problems i am having

Have you tried running the main program as Administrator? It common for some Win7 programs to need to be set like this so they have write access to the main drive. If you have a shortcut for Pro96 on the desktop, right click to go into the context menu, click on properties, then select the compatibility tab, then check the 'run as administrator' box.
