Hi all Wife off to St George hospital tomorrow morning for 6 days. Taking scanner with me. Noticed last night when doing a custom search it is not picking up PMR p25 channel any one suggest what I need to check in settings or anything else that might be causing this. My daughter was pulling charger cord out and in of scanner and turning power point on and off while I had it charging. Is it possible it might have a Birdi or corrupted the scanner shold I reset and restore everything back into scanner. It doesn't show Lnk then p25 like it use too.

Seen a similar issue where it wouldn't pickup any transmissions not just p25 like you.
Make sure broadcast is turned off in options.
Is anything else displayed on the screen while the custom scan is running ?

I would do the four finger reset. With the power off, press and hold 2 9 HOLD then turn it ON. Follow the on screen prompts. Reprogram using your software (I hope you are using software) of choice.

Yeh have it save in software, I need to update some anyway probably best option

Hi all while doing a bit of updating on computer for the scanner whith the Usad program. I noticed in the general search options under CTCSS/DCS Tone Search!!
( Scanner will not detect or decode p25 signals if you turn on CTCSS/DCS Tone Search)....
Turned it off and now it's decoding P25 in custom search such a simple fix!!!!!

if you have ctcss/dcs search on, the scanner thinks its looking for an analogue signal
