I noticed in the ACMA database that Taronga Zoo has Gencom now looking after their comms

462.5875 Gencom - Tx ANZ Site Taronga Zoo, Mosman
463.3500 Gencom - Tx ANZ Site Taronga Zoo, Mosman
464.3500 Gencom - Tx ANZ Site Taronga Zoo, Mosman
464.8250 Gencom - Tx Guest Services Site Taronga Zoo Mosman
465.3500 Gencom - Tx Guest Services Site Taronga Zoo Mosman
465.7500 Gencom - Tx Guest Services Site Taronga Zoo Mosman

Has anybody been able to pick them up on the new frequencies and whether they are running DMR ?

Seabreeze inversion

Post by cartman » Thu Jan 18, 2018 3:11 pm

Noticed that a seabreeze inversion overnight was resulting in Central Coast/Newcastle/Hunter Valley DMR signals reaching into Liverpool this morning. Judging by the forecast for the next three days (seabreezes) these inversion conditions are likely to occur again each day right through to Sunday evening

Noticed today that the organisers of the Bega Valley Rally were using State Forest VHF frequencies, most of the stages were in State Forests so probably no real surprise but interesting anyway.
