The other night I was driving on the M7 and monitoring UHF CB ch40 when I heard a recorded announcement come over from the M7 Control Room telling drivers to be aware of an incident in the south bound lanes and to obey all the safety warnings. The announcement was played every 20 seconds or so. A few minutes later the speed signs were flashing and reduced the speed to 40 Ks. M7 crews were in the median strip with a car that had rolled over. Good idea to have these announcements on the truckies channel considering the amount of trucks using the M7.

Hearing 'Echo 1' on 10704 today, any idea of their role in the RMS? (They are talking to 'India' callsigned portables and TMC for special events in the south of Sydney today.
