Sydney Roads and Motorways
Re: Sydney Roads and Motorways
I posted this also in GRN P25 Talkgroups but have copy pasted here also.
RTA radio workshops doing some channel tests today... going through what appeared to be the whole radio profile, changing to different chanels. I picked the transmissions starting from here...
10704 "D3"
10705 "D4"
10706 "D5"
10707 "D6"
10708 "D7"
10709 "D8"
10710 "D9"
10711 "D10"
10712 "D11"
10713 "D12"
10714 "D13"
10715 "D14"
10716 "D15"
10717 "G1"
10718 "G2"
10719 "G3"
10720 "G4"
10721 "G5"
10722 "G6"
10723 "G7"
10724 "G8"
10725 "G9"
10726 "G10"
10727 "G11"
10728 "G12"
I would assume that 10702 would be "D1" and 10703 would be "D2".
Also, they tested PMR channels
"C2 Backup 2" was 462.0125 CTCSS 114.8
"C4 Clearway" was 464.6000 CTCSS 114.8
and there was reference to "C1 Backup 1" but I did not get the freq unforunately I would guess 467.8250?)

Re: Sydney Roads and Motorways
Interesting, I wonder what happened to TG 10701? I have definitely had an RTA radio join 10701 so it must be a valid talkgroup?

What do the RTA use down Wollongong way? I've never heard TMC (10702) working jobs anywhere past Waterfall.

Yep, I do hear them on the GRN down the coast (and especially up in the high country with the snow season about to open) every now'n then using "RTA ##" callsigns but they don't seem to have the presence in the Gong that they do in Sydney?
What do the heavy vehicle inspectors use to run all their checks? I assume they have MDTs as I've never heard them running transport checks?

Re: Sydney Roads and Motorways
the rego checks are done via phone, the RTA freqs I have listed on lakescan are sometimes active if their is a large checking operation on
