Just went out and took some pics, and realised my mount on the territory is not attached using the guard bolt (thats muy other car). I think from memory ( and mine is not great these days ) that you can't get a bonnet mount, of any shape long enough to do the job, being the guard bolt is just a but to far down, even for a Z bracket. I ended up using an L bracket with some skilled bending to get it the right shape to sit right and have the mount so the antenna is vertical. I ended up using a couple of screws to attach.
You still want me to post the pics I just took? ( don't mind, as I was testing camera on new phone ).

Here are the pic's as promised. You can see that this modified Z mount would in no way be long enough to reach the guard bolt on the Territory.

In the end two screws that wer actually off an old CB radio bracket mount did the trick. And some silicon to keep the water out of course. I just noticed the coax is damaged a bit, and will probably need replacing, but its been there a few years now, so probably time to fix it anyway.
