Post by cartman » Fri Oct 11, 2013 3:37 am

Mounties has just updated its ACMA frequencies

It is a very large club (one of the largest in Australia) and runs an extensive courtesy bus service for patrons
The Mounties Group controls seven registered clubs

http://www.mountiesgroup.com.au/

40.6800 3.5w Data
153.8000 3.5w Data
462.2750 5w Duplex Point to MultiPoint Data
465.0625 5w Duplex (New) - Confirmed 60 sec TRBO beacon signal - Colour Code 1
465.6625 5w Duplex (New) - Confirmed 60 sec TRBO beacon signal - Colour Code 1

486.6000 5w Duplex (Ambulatory)
487.0000 5w Duplex (Ambulatory)
495.1500 5w Simplex
509.7750 5w Simplex

It will become one of my scanning targets once I move into the area (real soon)

I haven't been able to crack my local clubs radio frequencies & their is nothing listed on ACMA for the area they are in.They could possibly be from a rental company that has a NSW wide listing. Campbelltown RSL only has pager frequencies listed even though they have security with radios & the Catholic Club security& staff have radios also.Only way to capture is to sit in the carpark for some time with the scanner scanning the simplex bands or close capture!
I've even monitored UHFCB as this is a cheap alternative for business as long as a subtone is programmed.

The challenges of 2013 is that a lot of users are being pushed to digital, adds an extra step in scanning your favourite groups by trying to eyeball the radios they use. In the CBD a lot of users have moved to either TETRA or MotoTRBO and is hard to pickup on a close call. If you can see the brand and model of a radio it will make the task a little easier. As you said also they may be on a NSW simplex assignment.

Confirmed 60 sec TRBO beacon signal (two frequency single site) on these two frequencies at Mounties (10/11/13)
No users logged yet
Colour Code 1 appearing on DMR v68

465.0625 5w Duplex (New)
465.6625 5w Duplex (New)

I think their TETRA radios are likely to get the flick soon

I think 465.66250 may be Colour Code 2, and 465.06250 is Colour Code 1 - no users in 24 hours, must be a new setup.
