Re: Construction help
Ok cool! You might just have to grab the radio one morning or afternoon and key up for 5 seconds or so and see if it shows up on your scanner.
Is this the radio they are using? http://www.hytera.com/product/prodetail.aspx?id=403

Re: Construction help
Knowing they are using UHF, lock out all the other bands in the Close Call set up. It will stop the radio locking on to other signals (VHF & 800 MHz etc) and concentrate on UHF.matthewn1983 wrote:Ok cool! Press MENU the bottom button on the side of the radio. Scroll down to CLOSE CALL. Press ENTER. Scroll down to SET CC BANDS. Press ENTER. You will notice a list of bands VHF LOW 1 etc. They will be probably marked as ON. As you scroll over the band press the ENTER button, they will switch to OFF. Scroll down until all BANDS except UHF are OFF. Leave UHF ON. Press SCAN to resume scanning. When you next use CLOSE CALL, you will only be capturing UHF signals. If you want to go banck to capturing all, reverse the process.Fraggles wrote:Thanks rustynswrail not sure how you do that on the close call but I will have a go thanks again guys for your help

Re: Construction help
The other way to do it is when you are in Close Call "mode". Just press the numbers to lock out each band. This will toggle on off between each band and show "on" or "off".rustynswrail wrote:Press MENU the bottom button on the side of the radio. Scroll down to CLOSE CALL. Press ENTER. 1 = 25-54mhz
2 = 54-108mhz
3 = 108-137mhz
4 = 137-225mhz
5 = 225-320mhz
6 = 320-520mhz
7 = 758-1300mhz
However, as you know the band already, that should narrow it down.
