freqwaves those frequencys you gave me would I just save them in to my custom list?
Yes make a custom list.
Close call can be funny sometimes at what it picks up & what it doesn't.Not a big fan of it.
Your crane cabin could be shielding certain signals getting through.
BTW Comms rentals seems to rent out alot of radios at times to contruction sites.Did you happen to do a search by postcode on the ACMA?

John.

Matt,

From his original post, he says Hansen Yuncken.

If you are up in the crane there is a good chance you may be too far away from the radios you are trying to pick up for Close Call to work. I can imagine there would be a far bit of RF interference up high, which would make Close Call even less likely to work

It would be best if you could stand next to (or in close proximity) to the person using the radio you are trying to find when they are transmitting. If not there is a good chance that Close Call won't pick up the transmission.

Ok we'll I picked there channel up today on close call it's 476.6250 MHz ! But when there not talking I get interference from some other channels and bits of crackling ect with other channels coming throw the crackling.do you think I would need to get a better ariel or maybe interference from my crane ?will a new ariel make any difference .? Normally not had interference from my crane but always a first I suppose ! Ok just edit this post to add this ? For some reason I thought maybe if I take the ariel off it may cut all the interference out and it as its perfect now at last ! Thanks for your tips and help guys :)
