I have been getting pages from 1234567. Up until now its been just tests but I have just noticed a message for a "Fire Call AFA Tomakin Club"
It doesn't seem like a normal capcode though, would it be a test from the central RFS paging system?
G'day Mark,

"1234567" is the capcode that the radio techs use, getting heaps of them today so guessing that they're doing some (well overdue) work on the RFS pager network? I've seen that many times in the past and think it's just local testing, not anything to do with the centralised dispatch (although it would be great if it was).

I saw that AFA page too and thought it was kinda strange? I guess they got sick of sending "THIS IS A TEST PAGE ONLY. PLEASE DISREGARD. THANK YOU. HAVE A GREAT DAY"! :)

Either that or Broulee RFB just missed a fire call? :o

I presumed is was just techs doing tests but the AFA call threw me a bit, unless as Andrew said, someone stuffed up and Broulee missed a call out. Come to think of it the techs were doing checks like this a while ago too.

this may not be ducting but instead the new State Wide paging system the message is sent via there Wide Area network and along all NSWRFS Sites, it is supposed to be fully operational by the middle of this year i believe.
to many radios as 255 characters is not enough :)

Yeh still doing it, the pager techs have been doing some test over the last couple of days. Nothing exciting happening though.
