Re: Unitrunker - Auto Save
My computer had a brain fart of sorts the other morning, causing it to restart. Unfortuneately in the process I lost about 10 days of UniTrunker logs that had bene tracking while I was away. Does UniTrunker have an auto save function, allowing the data to be saved at set intervals? There is an 'aut...

Re: Queensland Government Radio Network tender/proposal
Don't know if this answers your question, but the Mobiles are Tait, while the Repeaters are from Auria Wireless, possibly their Aurora AX420s.ivahri wrote:Do you know if the Tait Ergon system is supporting multiple vendor radios?

Re: Vertel Team Talk TETRA
I don't see any frequencies listed for Vertel in the standard 800 MHz Trunked Radio band of 865.0125 to 869.9875 MHz.news wrote:Vertel has heaps of 800mhz freq's they already have.

Re: New Fleetcoms sites
Well that was an interesting exercise. I started editing my last post before system_tech posted his reply, and I am sure that in the past, that if someone posted in the same thread while I was editing a post, then I was warned that another post had been made, when I pressed the Submit button, and th...

Re: New Fleetcoms sites
Mt Heaton UHF and VHF Fleetcoms on air as of Tuesday. Interesting that the new UHF frequencies on Mt Heaton, are 10K1F9W, as are the ones at Adamstown, but the VHF frequencies, which are presumably being used, and which have been on Mt Heaton for quite a few years, are still 10K1F2EFF. It seems tha...

Re: SDRSharp (K5DEV Fork 1.1)
Thanks Matt, Which USB Tuner are you using with this software and where do you get 'em? It would interesting to look into SDR, certainly a lot cheaper than paying Uniden/GRE $500 each for a scanner! Andrew Just make sure the Tuner has BOTH the RTL2832, and the E4000 chips in it. Some use an alterna...

Re: New Fleetcoms sites
Hmm. I think I've only ever seen that Emission Designator used for P25 systems, and encrypted P25 systems, at that.system_tech wrote:. . . Also, I guess that even voice channel start-of-conversation and end-of-conversation transactions are data / FSK so this may have some bearing on the Emission type.

Have you considered trying any of the Amateur Radio APRS (Automatic Position Reporting System) software.astro_boy wrote: . . My question is, has anyone used some software to decode such data before?
I would be interested to know if i could get my hands on some to test and attempt to decode

Re: Hazard reduction burns
I always thought that was strange, especially when you take into account that they were originally created way back when VHF was all the rage (PF, Ambulance and just about everyone else were on VHF mid-band with a PL at the time)? Andrew I think you will find that back in the early days, when chann...
