Re: Sydney area Taxis
CTCSS for Katoomba is 123Hz - a little fairy tells me that their frequency will probably disappear in a few years time as they migrate to computers and the mobile network.

Re: Forbidden
It would be nice if we started making more use of Google Spreadsheets on these forums. Could put freq lists in a spreadsheet and allow multiple authors and moderate any submissions.
HTTP status codes of 500 seems concerning, though.

Good idea. I will.citabria wrote:Also add the 24 bit ICAO ADS-B address too
Although I can't see any lookup systems where I can automate the submission... so I may have to make this user contributed.

Re: Improving the CASA air rego database
The trouble is Flightradar24 don't display all the possible data. I'm also intending to link to airlines.net, jetphotos.net, planepictures.net, planespotters.net, airfleets.net & data.flight24.com Also Flightradar24 don't display any images on the same page as rego info. Finally take a look at the t...

Re: Silent activity on 10130?
The popping is an artifact of the Uniden 396T tuning to a P25 channel. It does not appear to be white noise but rather silent frames (I turned it up quite loud). Thanks for the explanation Richard - I figured you'd know something :) At first I thought it may be an illegal radio user, so I'm pleased ...

Improving the CASA air rego database
I was thinking about how I could improve the CASA air registration database so I've started to implement my own lookup tool. Essentially I'm taking CASA's CSV file and turning it into a MySQL database so I can then do fast index based searching. My CSV import process is totally automated and happens...

Silent activity on 10130?
Yesterday and today I've noticed that 10130 is becoming active quite alot. There is usually no broadcast, or there are tones sent.
http://scanner.criten.org/recordings/GR ... -10130.wav illustrates the issue.
Some kind of issue?
