Re: New FRNSW Pager frequency (?)
The NSW Telco FRNSW frequency 148.9625 is now live with what looks like messages for retained stations. They are very brief turnout messages with minimal information. It looks like Voda/Hutch have abandoned commercial paging all together. The transmissions have stopped and their allocations on ACMA ...

Re: NSW P25 GRN - Site Listing (current)
Looks like the BERKELEY TOPS GRN site is moving from the water reservoir to the SRA tower a few hundred meters away at CRINGILA?

Re: NSW P25 GRN - Talk Groups Part 3
I noticed this on Chullora the other day. An ambulance RID affiliating to an obscure ambulance TG using the same voice frequencies and LCNs, but showing as bandplan 06. IMG_8719.jpg Others noticed the same on other sites in Sydney. Mike Which talkgroup Mike? It was TG 20326 on every hit. Mike

Re: NSW Police Broadcasting On GRN
I still reckon even day to day ops will be hampered. I'm sure I read something somewhere about the PF having guaranteed access? It was either on a priority basis or, like the MMR, dedicated bases at each site which are ONLY available for PF usage. Well the 467MHz bandplan is in place and the antenn...

Re: NSW Police Broadcasting On GRN
The infill/local coverage sites that are going in all around the place are a massive plus for portable coverage, but I notice from UT that the larger sites (eg Kurrajong, Chullora, Horsley Park) are still regularly near capacity during peak times with the current users. Most of those planned filler...

Re: New FRNSW Pager frequency (?)
I'm wondering then if the NSW GRN is going the same way as the Victoria and SA GRNs and having a dedicated pager option as well?
I went past the Roselands GRN site yesterday and there is no VHF dipole array on the tower...as yet.

Re: New FRNSW Pager frequency (?)
Is it possible that FRNSW contracted VHA (if they still call themselves that after sort of merging with TPGgroup) to run their pager equipment? I don't think so because the messages are all business related and from what I recall, FRNSW abandoned the use of pagers in Sydney many years ago. 148.9625...

New FRNSW Pager frequency (?)
I found the pager frequency 148.9625MHz registered to FRNSW (Client No 20008471) on ACMA with authorisation dates March to June 2021. This frequency is located on sites all over Sydney, Illawarra and the Central Coast. FRNSW have another pager frequency of 148.9875MHz which is located on more region...

Re: NSW P25 GRN - Site Listing (current)
I did some digging on ACMA database and was amazed at what seems to be in the pipeline, presumably LSM (linear simulcast modulation) like in the Melbourne CBD Grant, I've noticed these new frequencies and sites popping up as well but I was of the thought that the Telco Authority was parking the fre...
