Andrew,
It exists. Do you think we are making it up?

Re: Wagga + P25
Hi Mark, Correct... Eventually there will only be D-A at the console and all of the links will be IP. Police and my employer are implementing what is called a "DFSI" interface which eliminates the D-A and A-D conversion that happens when a transmission is patched across these networks. When that hap...

Re: Wagga + P25
I agree Andrew the audio quality isn't as good as the GRN. At first I thought that it was just because I have been used to listening to analogue for the past 12 or so years but after listening to the digital channels for a while I still don't think its as clear as the GRN. Its not bad but listening...

Re: Capacity Upgrade Tender...
Very true News... but Paul Budde has been around since Moses was a lad and I have never seen him involved in a major government radio network project. I doubt that he would even know how a trunking or conventional radio network functioned, or what is involved in providing the infrastructure to suppo...

Re: Motorola Product cancellation
Such as? Techman you make a lot of statements without any evidence... I've had a dig at you before about it. What US telecommunications (more specifically radio/wireless) corporates have been bought out? Motorola has been around since the 1930s... Harris? EFJ? They haven't been bought out... on the ...

Re: Capacity Upgrade Tender...
One day I hope to read a comment from Paul Budde that reflects that he knows what he is talking about... you can always pick a failed consultant, they become media commentators... why why why would critical communications wish to be carried by a public network of dubious quality like the NBN? For a ...

Re: Motorola Product cancellation
Have the competition caught up? I'm not so sure about that... What has hurt Motorola is the growth of P25 and more open standards- they had a monopoly for years with Smartzone but those days are long gone. They still are the market leaders when it comes to large first responder grade trunking system...

Re: UK seeks to replace TETRA with LTE as early as 2016
P2 trunking across the state? Ho bl@@dy ho... fat chance in the next 5-10 years. Get a grip, the money isn't there & the infrastucture is definitely not there. I know... and nobody wants or needs it across the state so there is going to be far higher priorities, such as broadband applications like v...
