May be off-topic but does anyone know if any work has been done to reverse engineer, debug, patch, mod Uniden firmware?

Perhaps we can buy US models, patch firmware and unlock 800 mhz and whatever else.

Now that Uniden have released DMR/NXDN/Provoice for UBCDx36-PT, I wonder if they'll work on the UBCD325P2 next.

Uniden Australia/Pacific Telecommunications have only now committed to releasing DMR/NXDN to the x36 range of scanners, despite it being available for the US HP models for at least a couple of years - so don't expect an response anytime soon. Anyone know what the differences are between UBCD325P2 and BCD325P2-AU?

Uniden website is showing UBCD325P2 as current, and BCD325P2-AU as discontinued.
