No idea why you'd buy this when the Baofeng's are programmable and do VHF as well... and sell for $35-$40 on fleabay. You can even buy vehicle mount accessories including antennas, roger sets, automotive power supply, etc. - for far far less than $99 Sure they aren't legal according to the ACMA... b...

Heard some references today to channels 509 & 609, apparently being used as fireground channels. 609 is definitely GRN I believe TG 10135. But what is 509?
