For those interested in how far RMR goes into NSW. Going along the Hume Freeway (Albury to Sydney), reception up to 5km south of Tarcutta in NSW. Which is 130km from the VIC/NSW border at Albury/Wodonga along the Hume. Solid reception to 100km, then in/out for next 30km from Albury/Wodonga. CC: 168....

What are those high VHF frequencies for? Generally speaking, the higher the frequency the more "line of sight" it is, so UHF and up doesn't tend to do too well in mountainous terrain. But why they didn't go with the 78 MHz range they already have I don't know? I'm guessing they are just regular GD ...

Never monitored airband much before so it's all new.
SMCV, Fire, Tower... all have numberous TGID's and RID's on Mil airband, rebroadcasted on VHF airband.

Digital P25 being used at Newcastle airport in Mil ariband.
Some are being re-transmitted from Mil airband to VHF air band frequencies.
Is this the same at other major airports and military bases?
