Re: NSW P25 GRN - Site Listing (current)
So I’ve done a scan around the band’s yesterday and discovered a new time i haven’t heard before. A quick call to a mate let me know it’s a BER Testing tone used on Motorola equipment. So with that i stuck my trusty tapped 355XLT coupled to DSD+ and for 5 seconds at 10:48 am today it gave itself up....

Re: TRX 1E TRX2E New Firmware for Non American users.
Great to see Whistler looking after the international community, seems Uniden has forgotten that.
Hopefully also available for the earlier stuff too.
cheers

Re: New PF radio sites licenced
I know one of the radio techs uses it when he is operating on the PMR network, but as Matt pointed out its not really applicable to GRN.

Re: New Callsign Management and Allocation
Give the ACMA a ring and see how you go there first. You might have some luck.
I've had mixed dealing with them in the past you might get lucky.

Re: New Callsign Management and Allocation
Yeah good luck Grant, plenty of turmoil going on at the moment. I'm in the middle of studying for advanced call and im delaying it somewhat as there's not much going on in AMC land, i'm guessing that there still in a transition phase. There is the VE exams (US licences) going on around the place and...

Re: New PF radio sites licenced
They were simulcast with channel sierra years ago but disappeared around the time encryption appeared.
My guess is it was used for the VicPol units that came across the border as you used to hear Bendoc 200 etc a bit on sierra.
cheers

Re: NSW P25 GRN - Site Listing (current)
Andrew, I saw the changes to the Freestone, and thanks for the update. I suspect that the control channel will stay on band plan 4 despite the fact it is operating in BP 5. If Victoria is anything to go by with the Phase 2 RMR the CC stayed in the original band plan yet the new stuff was up in a new...
