According to John who i checked with last night, 800Mhz AAP and GPT are still live with customers well into jan 2012, as well as 490Mhz LTR on Sydney Tower. Heard rescue 22 get called to a job near kangaroo valley they where about half way there when mru called them and told them they were no longer required then lifesaver base called up and told them they where needed mru told rescue 22 they would check with what sounded like AUSTAR . I'm told only a week to go before vertel shutdown. Oztrek just had their fleet changed last week to DMR Hytera's.....

Got a cheap battery & charger but the radio seems to have a tx/rx problem.Anyone know how to dismantle a GP328 as there doesn't seem to be any screws on the metal plate behind the battery. I have been told the early Motorola Sabre's would do midband. Never seen one. have found several references on the web to it however.
