Why do they have so many aerials? Is it for cross border communications? Most Police Departments in America are only Town or City forces, so there is the requirement for communications with adjacent Towns or Cities (Mutual Aid). The areas around said Towns or Cities often come under the jurisdictio...

Even though it has a red "Z", the plate is yellow, and the text across the bottom, seems to say "New South Wales".

It is all a matter of politics.
Generally, the people in the field are not told of the availability of the Liaison channels, mainly because the bosses of the individual organisations don't want to loose control of THEIR people.

As far as I know, the American RH96 works on both the BCD396T, and the BCD396XT, so why wouldn't the Australian RH96 work on both the Australian 396's.JAFO wrote:Hy Russell,
