Re: What the??
... i can hear Bateau Bay from Blacktown - Site 133 - on 417.9375... Ok, I'm a little confused, I had Mt Tomah down as Site 133? This was from a post by Mike Alpha on Wed Nov 18, 2009 5:52 pm in the "GRN P25 testing has started" topic. A P25 CC has just popped up on Mount Tomah on 417.9375 - 02D1h-...

Re: GRN P25 Pt2
Hey Richard,
I know I'm jumping the gun here but have you heard any time frame mentioned as to when the old Type II system is expected to be decommissioned?

Re: AFP on 800Mhz Trunking in the ACT
Doesn't look like they're PMR links, they are licenced as "Land Mobile System - > 30MHz" not "Point to Point"? A quick look around the ACMA site tells me that the PMR link frequencies are: 928.4375/852.4375 and 930.1000/854.1000 between AFP HQ and Harcourt Hill 928.2875/852.2875 and 931.3000/855.300...

Sounds like that may have been off Mt Coonambro which was Zone 1 Site 37 on the old system?Longreach wrote:...coming back thru Forbes today and spotted the first control channel out the central west for the P25 system. came up on my pro 96 as site 0215 cc was 417.300mhz...

Re: GRN P25 testing has started.
My mistake Richard, I was talking about the migration of the various services, not the network itself. I spent about an hour driving around Canberra searching for Ctrl Chs and the only ones found were the established type II sites, maybe they plan on changing over all sites at once instead of the gr...

Re: GRN P25 testing has started.
...ACTES, and remember they have always been digital so they migrated pretty painlessly... I was in Canberra a couple of weeks ago and I don't think the ACTESA has even started migrating yet? They are still using Type II digital TGs and while Bungendore, Captains Flat and Cooma have all changed ove...

If it helps, "SIF charlie"s (Type II) radio ID was 58408 (or E428 hex) if someone has it tagged?
Just guessing but maybe "Super Intendant something" or "Safety Inspector something" or "Senior Instructor something"???
