Re: NSW P25 GRN - Site Listing
Hi Guys Pardon my ignorance with this (P25 trunking is a fairly new concept in the big scheme of things), but what's the idea behind the "peers/neighbours" allocated to each site in the list? Cheers Frank It's a Radio 'network'. So is it a means of load balancing and prevention of lockouts on the s...

Re: P25 Talk Groups part 2
I can confirm that FRNSW are keeping the "D" to denote P25 talkgroups & channels, and the letter "A" is being introduced to denote analogue channels (ie. 510 becomes A510, 801 becomes A801 etc). So yep D101 etc are staying. Cheers, Richard Is there any further info available as yet regarding what a...

So is it a means of load balancing and prevention of lockouts on the system, by shunting users to another site in the peer list if the main site is at capacity?matthewn1983 wrote:It's a Radio 'network'.

Re: GRN P25 testing has started.
Thanks everyone for your assistance. I think I've got it sorted now....I've set up Glenbrook P25 trunking, and the scanner shows "DAT" when it receives the P25 Control Channel data. It also very nicely mutes this out, so one is not forced to listen to a heap of noise...time to start monitoring now! ...

Re: GRN P25 testing has started.
Hi All Pardon my ignorance if this has already been covered in another thread, but is there a particular way to set up P25 trunking in a BC396? Is it the same as setting up the analog? I've been trying numerous different settings so that I can also begin monitoring the P25 testing, all to no avail. ...
