Re: P25 Talk Groups part 2
col05_au, i noticed when logging Mt Tomah site, that 10130 was patched to 10129, but the sydney metro sites don't see it as patched. Im assuming the radio operator can determine where the radio was suppose to affil to, weather 10130 or 129? saves them having one on each talkgroup. Matthew, I don't ...

Re: P25 Talk Groups part 2
FRNSW Newcastle Comms have just started their switchover. does anyone know what the channel is named for 10130, 10138, 10139 ? Garry, I think 10130 is Fire Rescue NSW BLU MT1. Last night it seemed to be patched to 10129 Fire Rescue NSW C-WEST1 which was similar behaviour to what used to occur on th...

Re: Utilising the Townhouse TV aerial for scanning
My engineering background always makes me think this is a bad idea. not only do you have 20db loss, theres also the 75:50 ohm impedance mismatch. Considering the important that impedance plays in any theoretical RF system, wouldn't these two factors combine to make this a bad idea? Oh - and add the...

Re: Utilising the Townhouse TV aerial for scanning
The only down side I see is that most signals you listen to are vertically polarised, tv antennas are horizontally polarised. That results in up to 20db loss, which is significant Depending where it's pointing you might try listening to a few link frequencies around the place they are horizontal. Col

Re: Google Earth NSW Emergency Service Radio Sites
Richard, that was me that posted these files back in 2007 UHF police VHF police NSWRFS and another forum member was working on the GRN but I'm not too sure where that ended up. PM me with your email address and I will email them to you. If there is enough interest I will find some webspace and post ...
