There's an awful lot of uninformed bullshit and pure opinion in that document... The technology specification selected for the PSN is called Project 25 (or P25). I can't comment on the strict definitions, however those sites do 'simulcast' transmissions for the lay user. No they don't. You are simply confusing things and when REAL simulcast appears, the poor lay user is going to be even more confused.... what would be the term for what these other sites doi...

My understanding is there are two types of simulcast - C4FM and LSM. Correct. a TX carried on one site will also be carried on the other site at the same time on the same frequency. Can you give me the specific sites and frequencies please? Until now there have been no live simulcast sites with ove...

G'day Mike, there are quite a few simulcast sites around and have been for many years, also referred to as "Hidden Host" sites here. I have one end of a simulcast site near me (the Mt Budawang end of the Mt Cowangerong host site) and yes, I can confirm that it's CQPSK and my scanners don't like it ...
