I checked the specs on the Uniden site and they state that it will work with the remote head. Pretty good price also at 499, better be quick I suppose with the dollar sliding back down.

Compatible with UBC-RH96 Remote

Any form of security has limits. An ASK and authentication are intended to limit the ability of certain people to program stolen radios and use them to access the network. I think that those channels are probably the Admin channels, being the start of their allocation of numbers. The college of knowledge at Rozelle use these when they are training ambo's.

I have looked at the old talkgroups and the new talkgroups and have come up with this. It is a start at least. I use to have access to a ambo radio untill I left in 2008. Oh and bigfella you are right about the RSSI being displayed on trunk. I wish it worked on normal freq.
