USDS100 WATERFALL FEATURE NOW AVAILABLE

I am merely the messenger, so take it or leave it.

The Waterfall feature is now available in Australia for the USDS100. I cannot confirm or deny whether other SDS series units can be upgraded via the Uniden Australia website. Price is $35.

Re: Looks like simulcast is here.

Just because it is simulcast doesn't mean you are going to experience the same issues as the Americans. The number of sites employing simulcast, your distance from each of those sites, your antenna setup and possibly the voting algorithm amongst other characteristics may have an affect on your recep...

I can't help wondering..

Maybe its me. The older I get the grumpier I get when I see inane comments and posts on various groups, that simply do not make sense. One example, how often does someone post something like - "I want to but a scanner to use in my car and when I am out and about can someone advise a good handheld?" ...

Re: NSW P25 GRN - Site Listing (current)

Just to add my 2 cents worth. The 536PT is in my opinion a better unit than the SDS200. Yes the 200 has the pretty colours and bigger screen, but you pay for those. The UBCD536PT, like its portable cousin was imported by Pacific Telecommunication in Melbourne primarily for the CFA in Victoria. The C...

Re: Which Scanner, UBCD463PT or another UBCD536PT?

For some reason I thought you were looking for a one stop solution, something for the car and for home. After I read your post again I see it was for home only. The 536 is, in my opinion better than the SDS200 so would recommend it all day every day. The only problem is again power interruptions. Bu...

Re: Which Scanner, UBCD463PT or another UBCD536PT?

After I don't know how many years of use, my UBCD396XT has finaly started to die I think . . . Still picks up CC, shows TG when on hold but with no TG audio, and does not stop on TG's when scanning. So . . . which Scanner as a replacement do the Brain Trust recommend - the UBCD463PT handheld or ano...

Re: Is my Uniden UBCD436-PT Deaf?

Firstly the 436 if you decide to return it, will have to go the Pacific Telecommunications in Melbourne. Uniden does not service or support these units. Are you using Sentinel software to program these units? Or was the 436 programmed via the keypad? Programming via the keypad often leads to problem...
