Re: GRN P25 Pt2

Have also just setup my old conventional scanner to provide Analog GRN from GPT voice channels via live stream online as well, just in case someone's interested in listening in online as well. Unfortunately since it's not a trunk tracking scanner, it won't "follow" talkgroups and will just randomly ...

Re: GRN P25 Pt2

I've setup my DTS-96 to provide a temporary live stream at http://nswgrn.ath.cx Sorry, no TG info due to the software I'm using, but at least you can hear something sometimes. You are all welcome to use it, however, if it does get too popular, it may have to be taken off. [SORRY to some users, this ...

Re: P25 and DTS96 ... problematic?

I'm used to the BuTEL software ... used to it crashing and giving me grief over the offset issue. Besides that, it does work, so I am grateful that we even got multitable support from it so we could get the old 3600GRN up and running. As for the CC ... TG19952 came up on 418.225mhz - Site 109 Razorb...

Re: P25 and DTS96 ... problematic?

Sure thing, once I have the time I'll give BuTEL a bit of a heads-up about the offset thing - and they also had bugs in the multi-table editor which means that entering an incorrect value and then hitting delete causes the whole damn thing to crash. Hmm. I wonder what the chances of the Win96 guys s...

Re: P25 and DTS96 ... problematic?

Thanks for the tip. I've reverted to single table - but Butel's ARC96 is being annoying. It won't take 16384 as the offset - it just decides to go and change it to 756 once I change banks. Hmm. Well, time to keypad the data in by hand instead I guess and see what happens. So at the moment - I've got...

Re: P25 and DTS96 ... problematic?

I did enable the bank as Trunked Motorola mode and each channel is set to MO recieve mode - so that the channel, when manually navigated to, tells me the receive stats and the ID ... thanks for the suggestion. I've tried to reset the scanner and download a blank scanner, modify it, and upload it bac...

Re: P25 and DTS96 ... problematic?

Hmm, well, I have no problems seeing activity on the bases with Pro96Com - I just can't get the scanner to trunk-track properly. I will see activity on Pro96Com - but even though I have the CC's programmed in, the thing set to open moto mode, the scanner keeps "scanning" away .... and never stops to...

Re: P25 and DTS96 ... problematic?

Yes, that's what I did initially - just have all the control channels, each with their own bank, scanning in open mode. The scanner never seems to stop on any of them, even left for an hour or two - decode rates on all control channels are >94% according to the scanner and Pro96Com does show activit...

Re: Sydney Wide Hospital Paging System

I get a fair signal here from Auburn Hospital. It's gotten noisy because it seems to be interfered with by other transmissions on frequency - but I still seem to get messages A-OK - I seem to get more text than anything, some security related and what not. I did try doing some capcode analysis a lon...
