Re: Military Monitoring

Nice, your all over it! I'm just trying to listen around here, are you using flightradar24 and marinetraffic as well?

Re: Military Monitoring

You did better than me, I couldn't even get a callsign. Usually my SDRplay RSPdx can hear signals my other radio's can't, but today one of my UBCD536-PT was the pick on reception. See what else I can hear tomorrow I reckon.

Re: Military Monitoring

When I started this I did not expect to be posting daily, I just didn't think I would pick up that much traffic. 350.5000MHz AM Taipans out of Nowra today. 360.6000MHz AM A lot of talk about lines of code, changing it and confirming you can see the changes onboard. I did see a Learjet leave Nowra ea...

Re: Military Monitoring

I have never bothered to listen to 129.6500, during the fires it was busy with ACTESA traffic so I gave it a miss. HMAS Brisbane is in Jervis Bay today so it could be worth listening to 363.0000 AM, you never know maybe when the weather clears they may get busy with the Learjets. When I find any fur...

Re: Military Monitoring

Ok, depends on the altitude and how far out to sea obviously. But having said that I have copied the Learjets out of Nowra at FL270 clearly roughly 20 to 30 miles off Nowra on Airband VHF. Onetime I copied a very weak signal that sounded like Air defense training on UHF Tactical 363.0000 AM. At the ...

Re: Military Monitoring

Hi geodementia thanks for adding to the growing list. I have a list of NATO, US and world wide common UHF Tactical frequencies and it shows 282.8000MHz AM as a world wide SAR frequency. I will be adding this to my scanner to monitor, but I hope I never hear traffic on it. Thanks again!

Re: Military Monitoring

And I forgot to mention whenever we have a visit to Canberra by the F35 Lightnings they seem to always talk pilot to pilot on 336.000MHz AM.
