Re: Aviation Support Branch (POLAIR) - ACA 04-06-2013

In the budget released a day or two ago the "aging" polair 5 is going to be replaced with a counter-terrorism heliocopter and the nsw police are going to buy/replace a fixed wing aircraft. Grant A Bell 412 and a Pilatus PC-12 is highly considered for a fixed wing observation platform. All I do know...

Re: Hawkesbury RFS District going P25 PMR

Re: Aviation Support Branch (POLAIR) - ACA 04-06-2013

Polair5/Fireair1 (BK117) is costed at $3600 / hour to operate according to NSW Hansard, but it is not fitted with FLIR.
Polair 1 and 3 are at $2100 / hour, Polair 2. $2600 / hour.
(This is all costs added up)

Re: Bathurst 1000 Streams 2012

Is the reason why teams have to transmit in analogue is so Channel 7 & the commentators can listen in & rebroadcast it to the viewers at home. I'm presuming the TV station has a Analogue scanner programmed with all the frequencies. John. From a colleague as of a couple of years ago, Global TV (who ...

Re: New Channel and Zone Allocations

Put it this way, the jellybean counters at FRNSW have decided they are no longer paying for a Comms Operator to sit on their backside all day playing cards and watching TV and take the occasional fire call. They would have asked "Can all these dispatch areas be merged?".... Answer "Yes, with costs" ...
