I'd be surprised if they switched over in Sydney. Most of the road and rail tunnels still don't have P25 capability. We wait??

Nothing happened at morning shift changeover in the Sydney Metro
Have been watching GPT P25 since 5.30am through to 7.15am with not even one radio affiliating from the 230-232XXXX range
Everything was normal on 44192 at the 7am rollcall

It has begun on the Bathurst Channels at 8am

20309 - Digital Western Zone - Macquarie 1
20310 - Digital Western Zone - Macquarie 2

Listening off GPT on P25 - both affiliated to GPT

Hi All, I am hearing 20309 down here in Queanbeyan, off site 304 Mount Ainslie. Sounds really good.

Just the usual normal hiccups with an exercise of this magnitude - mainly people coming up on the wrong channel, though i think one radio has a programming issue by the sounds of it
Mass People Vehicle Car 781 said hello from RPA in Sydney - enroute back to the Mid-West, which to me underscores the value of the GRN investment - state wide comms with crystal clear digital audio over hundreds of kilometres

Sounds like you've been reading the pamphlet ;)

So does this confirm the GRN sites in and around Bathrust are all P25 capable?

There is a trickle of cars today off Sydney West 44192 going down to Motorola Silverwater for "radio upgrades"
An educated guess is that the remaining country areas in the digital GRN footprint will switch over this week
Metro ambos are probably next week, because they don't sound ready to me
There is an extensive P25 GRN footprint out west
P25 Talkgroup 20309 Macquarie 1 takes in Lithgow, Bathurst, Wellington, Parkes, Forbes, Grenfell, Molong etc
P25 Talkgroup 20310 Macquarie 2 takes in Dubbo, Tottenham, Peak Hill, Cobar, Nyngan, Lightning Ridge etc
All these locations plus others called up this morning
